Mysore/Mysuru: Wordy duel, which ensued between five friends, resulted in four of them allegedly stabbing one of their friend in drunken stupor at Mahadevapura in Vidyaranyapuram Police limits in city recently.

The youth, who had sustained stab injuries and admitted to K.R. Hospital, is Ravi, a resident of Mahadevapura and the accused friends are Prashanth, Naga, Sudeep and Kiran.

It is learnt that Ravi and his four friends were drunk and wordy duel ensued between them near the Mahadevapura Railway Bridge during which Prashanth, Naga, Sudeep and Kiran allegedly stabbed Ravi.

Vidyaranyapuram Police, who had registered a case, have arrested the four accused, who are cooling their heels in jail.
