Ahead of Dasara, the Deputy Commissioner’s office, which will soon be shifted to a new premises in Siddarthanagar, looks all decked-up with a variety of flowers in full bloom. The statue of  Sir James Gordon, the British administrator who was the guardian of Maharaja Chamaraja Wadiyar, stands tall in the park  called as Gordon Park.
