Furnish details or face action; private hospitals warned

Bengaluru: Dr. Om Prakash Patil, Director, Health and Family Welfare Services, has directed all the private healthcare establishments to update all COVID-19 related details in facility App, failing which punitive action against the defaulting institutions.

In a press release here, he has said this order has been issued under the various clauses and sections of Epidemic Disease Ordinance of Karnataka 2020. 

It has been observed that the private sector was not updating details in facility App on regular and timely basis with quality and complete data causing lot of hardships.

This has delayed in computing total data harvest for planning and implementing the screening, referral, treat and follow-up of the patients.

Dr. Patil said the private sector with exception of few misdemeanour has been actively cooperating with the government in admissions and clinical case management of COVID-19 patients. But as the regular data availability is as critical as ICU case management in order to plan, project predict, prepare, procure, provide timely HR and logistics both in the field and facility to prevent the morbidity and mortality among the people due the pandemic.
