Futile bid to sneak mobile phone, ganja into Mysuru Jail

December 17, 2024

Mysuru: Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) personnel have foiled an attempt to smuggle mobile phone and ganja into Mysuru Central Prisons on Sunday.

On Sunday afternoon, KSISF personnel, who were patrolling along the compound of the prison from outside, came across a cover wrapped with a black tape. When the personnel inspected the cover with a metal detector, the detector beeped, alerting the personnel about the presence of metal inside the wrapped cover.

Taking all precautionary steps, the cover was opened and the personnel found a mobile phone, additional battery and about 25 grams of ganja in it, following which the Mysuru Central Prison authorities lodged a complaint at Mandi Police Station.
