G. Prasad (58), senior journalist and a resident of Karnataka Housing Board Colony in Nanjangud, passed away at a private hospital in city following brief illness on Saturday.

Prasad was the Treasurer of Nanjangud Taluk Journalists Association and was also associated with Nanjangud Taluk Veerashaiva Mahasabha.

He leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.
