Mysuru: Sugama Sangeetha Academy Trust, Mysuru, has organised a programme titled ‘Gaana Vaibhava’ at Sangeetha Kalanidhi Mysore Vasudevacharya Bhavan, Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road in city on July 24 at 6 pm.
Kamakshi Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. C. Umesh Kamath will be the chief guest. Sugama Sangeetha Academy Trust President H.R. Leelavathi will preside. Trust Hon. President T.R. Harish and President K. Nagaraju will be present.
On the occasion, Shankar Shanbhogue will be presenting a music programme along with Shanmuga Sajja on keyboard, Aathma Ram Nayak on tabla and Vinay Rangadhol on rhythm pad.

Shankar Shanbhogue is a renowned Kannada devotional and Sugama Sangeetha singer from Kalasa, Chikkamagalur district.
Inspired by his mother and trained under several eminent gurus, he became an accomplished Hindustani classical vocalist specialising in the Agra and Gwalior gharanas and continues advanced training under Pandit Parameshwar Hegde.
With encouragement from distinguished artistes, he established himself as both a singer and music composer. He has performed extensively in India and internationally (including the US, UK, Canada, Dubai and Kuwait), released popular Kannada and Konkani devotional albums, worked as a playback singer and composed music for ballets, the National Games and Aero India shows.
Shankar is a strong advocate of ‘Kavya Sangeetha’ — the fusion of meaningful poetry and music — which he believes promotes spiritual growth and strengthens cultural and moral values. Through the Saatvika Cultural Foundation, he conducts free, non-commercial concerts for orphanages, old-age homes, schools, colleges and the general public.
He also founded a Kavya Sangeetha Gurukula in Bengaluru, where aspiring musicians receive free training and mentorship with an emphasis on artistic excellence and social responsibility.
His vision has inspired people of all ages and professions to contribute to society through music.
