Seize Rs. 2.14 lakh stake money
Mysore/Mysuru: In separate raids by the District Special Crime Detection Team and T. Narasipur Police, who raided an agricultural land and a gambling den, have registered a case against 10 persons indulged in gambling and have seized a total of Rs. 2,14,000 stake money from them.
In the first raid, the District Special Crime Detection Team, following a tip off, raided an agricultural field at Vatal village in T. Narasipur taluk where a group of people were indulged in gambling on Saturday and seized Rs. 2,04,000 stake money besides registering case against five persons.
In the second raid, T. Narasipur Police, on Sunday, raided a gambling den at Ramegowdapura in the taluk and seized Rs. 10,000 stake money and registered a case against five persons.

Meanwhile, the District Police, in a bid to put brakes to illegal activities, have intensified their operations and have urged the public to provide information to the nearest Police Station if they come across people indulged in gambling using playing cards, cricket betting, selling and consuming narcotic substances etc.
