Mysuru: Mandi Police have arrested five persons who were gambling at the auto stand in N.R. Road-Pulikeshi Road Junction yesterday and have seized Rs.3,200 stake money from them.

The arrested are 38-year-old Puttaraju, 33-year-old Ashok, 21-year-old Devaraju, 30-year-old Chandru and 27-year-old Kiran, all residents of Tilak Nagar in city. A case has been registered at Mandi Police Station in this regard. Mandi Inspector L. Arun and staff Vijayendra Singh, Chandrashekar, Jayakumar, Ravi Gowda and Hanumantha Kalleda took part in the nabbing and seizing operation.
