Cops seize 10.90 kg ganja, car worth Rs. 10 lakh
Mysore/Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths and Organised Crime Wing (OCW) officials and staff, who were conducting ‘Vimukthi’ campaign for a drug-free Mysuru city, arrested three persons, while they were attempting to sell ganja.
The Police have seized a total of 10.90 kg ganja and a Maruti Swift Dzire car (KA-02-AC-1471) all worth Rs. 10 lakh from the accused. Those arrested are Manjunath alias Thoti Manja, Manjunath alias Kunta Manja and B.R. Karthik alias Appaji.
A case has been registered at Alanahalli Police Station.
The Police came to know that Manjunath alias Thoti Manja and Manjunath alias Kunta Manja, who have two cases and one case registered against them under NDPS Act respectively were under judicial custody before being released on bail.
As soon as they walked out of the jail they continued with the crime.
CCB ACP Mohammed Shariff Rawther, Inspector Shabir Hussain, Sub-Inspectors K. Lepaksha and Revanasiddappa and staff Madhukumar, Chethan, Adam, Santosh Pawar, Devaraja, Rajesab, Sameer, Hazarath Ali Naikar, Yashwanth Kumar and Siddaraju took part in the nabbing and seizing operation.
