Ganja peddlers arrested, 8.650 kg ganja seized

Mysore/Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, who raided a house at Nandini Layout in Alanahalli Police limits on Oct. 4, have arrested four persons on charges of peddling and storing narcotic substance and have seized 8.650 kg ganja from them.

The arrested are 50-year-old Srinivasa, a native of Pushpapura in Kollegal taluk and presently residing in Nandini Layout, 28-year-old Liyakuthulla of Bharathnagar, Mysuru, 28-year-old Wasim Akram of Amrutha Layout, Mysuru and 28-year-old Naveed Pasha, also from Bharath Nagar.

During interrogation, the Police came to know that accused Srinivasa and Naveed Pasha have been accused in many ganja peddling cases and another accused Wasim Akram has been accused in two-wheeler lifting case earlier.

DCP Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda and CCB ACP V. Mariyappa supervised Inspector Lolakshi and staff Chandregowda, Subashchandra, Ramaswamy, Srinivasa Prasad, M.R. Ganesh, C. Chikkanna, Shivaraju, Yakub Shariff, Nagesh, Anil and Anand in the raid, nabbing and seizing operation, according to  the press release from the Public Relations Officer (PRO), City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
