Mysore/Mysuru: In some relief to the garment sector, the State Government on Wednesday relaxed the COVID Curfew restrictions for garment industries by allowing them to function with 50 percent staff.
The Government, while issuing COVID-19 Curfew guidelines on Monday last, had barred functioning of garment industries fearing spread of the deadly pandemic.
But in a revision of curfew restrictions, the Government yesterday allowed functioning of garment units with 50 percent capacity and with all COVID precautionary and safety measures in place.
The garment workers are allowed to travel to their workplace by carrying the Identity card issued by their employers and following COVID appropriate behaviour.
