Gayana Sabha’s Hindustani Classical Music Concert

Mysore/Mysuru: Gayana Sabha, Mysuru, has organised Hindustani Classical Music Concert by Suneetha Hiremath of Mysuru on May 25 at Ganabharathi in Kuvempunagar at 6 pm.

She will be accompanied by Pt. Veerabhadraiah Hiremath on harmonium and by Pt. Bhimashankar Bidanur on tabla.

Suneetha Hiremath started training in music at the age of five from her father Pt. Veerabhadraiah Hiremath, disciple of Pt. Puttaraja Gawai and Pt. Indudhar Nirody. She is currently learning under Pt. Indudhar Nirody, a reputed and well-accomplished vocalist of Agra Gharana.

She is certified singer at three levels of the ‘Mumbai Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.’ She is awarded scholarship provided for pursuing education in music from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), New Delhi.

She was adjudged as ‘Excellence in Hindustani Music’  from Vidyavardhaka Pandit Nehru High School. She was also awarded ‘Star Singer’ from Gurukul PU College, Mysuru.

She got a title as ‘Cuckoo of VVS’ in Vidyavardhaka Pandit Nehru High School and has received several awards at State-level Competitions too.

Her first concert was held at Sai Vaibhava Kendra, Mysuru; Performed at Mysore Palace on the occasion of Dasara Festival in 2015; One of the most privileged concerts at White Field on the occasion of Sri Sai Baba’s Birthday in 2016; Performed at ‘Beladingala Sangeetha’ organised by Suttur Mutt, Mysuru, in 2019; Performed at the major venues in Mysuru such as Ganabharathi, Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, Kalamandira and other prominent musical platforms in Karnataka.
