Mysore/Mysuru: The city’s beloved annual musical tradition, Geeth Gaatha Chal, is all set to present its much-awaited 24th edition at Platinum Jubilee auditorium of MMC&RI, J.K. Grounds, in city on Jan. 11 from 5 pm to 9 pm.

For the last 23 years, this unique programme — performed by doctors and their family members — has earned a special place in Mysuru’s cultural calendar. Music-lovers across the city eagerly await this event each year, drawn by its charm, talent and heartfelt celebration of timeless melodies. The programme, as always, will feature songs from super-hit Hindi and Kannada movies of yesteryears.

Conceptualised and nurtured over the decades under the guidance of Dr. Umesh Kamath and generously sponsored by Dr. Jagannath Shenoy, Geeth Gaatha Chal has grown into one of the most popular and enduring musical events in Mysuru. This year’s edition is being conducted  under the Chairpersonship of Dr. Somanath Vasudeva and Dr. Seethalakshmy Somanath.
