Lakshmi, the female giraffe at Mysuru Zoo, has given birth to a healthy male calf on July 12. This is the fourth calf of Lakshmi and including this, a total of 22 giraffe calves (17 male and 5 female) have taken birth in Mysuru Zoo till date. Mysuru Zoo Executive Director Ajit Kulkarni, in a press release, has stated that the new-born calf is healthy and Lakshmi is taking good care of her son.
