Girl assault case: Two more accused arrested in Ooty, another accused at large

Mysuru:  Jaya-lakshmipuram Police, who had arrested one of the accused 25-year-old Dinesh of Tilak Nagar on June 26 near Café Coffee Day for assaulting a girl along with three others on June 23 evening in front of a pub, near Panchavati Circle in V.V. Mohalla, have arrested two more accused yesterday in Ooty, thus bringing the number of arrested to three. The Police are on a look out for another accused, who is still at large.

The two accused, who were arrested yesterday at Ooty in Tamil Nadu, have been identified as 31-year-old Umesh Kumar, a resident of Ramanuja Road and 30-year-old Vivek, a resident of Jayanagar in city.

Jayalakshmipuram Police, who brought the two accused from Ooty to city, conducted interrogation and later produced them before a Court. The Police have launched a hunt to nab one more accused, who is absconding.

DCP N. Vishnuvardhana and N.R. Sub-Division ACP C. Gopal supervised Jayalakshmipuram Inspector B.G. Prakash, SI Bhavya and staff Ramesh, Manjunath and Shivamallu in the nabbing operation.
