Mysore/Mysuru: A 23-year-old girl, whose marriage was scheduled to take place this November, committed suicide by hanging self at her residence in Kalyangiri yesterday. 

The deceased is Keerthana, an employee of a private firm  in city.

As Keerthana’s marriage was fixed as per her wish in  the month of November, her parents had gone to book a Kalyana Mantap yesterday morning during which Keerthana  hanged herself. 

The reason for her to take the extreme step is yet to be known, according to Udayagiri Police who have registered a case and are investigating.
