Mysuru: A girl student committed suicide by hanging self at her Paying Guest (PG) accommodation in Siddarthanagar here yesterday.

The deceased girl has been identified as Chandana (20), daughter of Ravi, a resident of Tarikere in Chikkamagalur.

Chandana, who stayed back at the PG, hanged herself when others had gone to the College and the incident came to light when other inmates of the PG returned from the College.

Nazarbad Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
