Girl fatally knocked down by car

Bettadapura: A five-year-old girl was killed when a car rammed into her at Halaganahalli village in Periyapatna taluk on Nov. 13. The deceased girl is Hermain Sahera, daughter of Muthahir Pasha of the village.

On Nov. 13 at about 12.10 pm, Hermain was playing on the road in front of her grandmother’s house, when a Tata Nano car (KA-53-Z-3589), driven by one Yatheshyam rammed into Hermain, injuring her seriously.

Though the seriously injured girl was admitted to Periyapatna Govt. Hospital, she succumbed to injuries at about 1 pm on the same day. A case has been registered at Bettadapura Police Station.
