Girl student commits suicide

Mysore/Mysuru: A student, who was reportedly caught for malpractice in the exam, has allegedly died by suicide, after jumping from the fourth floor of the college building in Mandi Police limits on Thursday.

The deceased, from Lashkar Mohalla, was studying first year Lab Technician course at the college and had been recently caught copying in the exam.

The college head had summoned her mother to the college. Meanwhile, the girl who went to the fourth floor of the college, allegedly jumped off, only to sustain serious injuries. She was rushed to a hospital, where she succumbed to the injuries, it is said.

A case has been registered at Mandi Police Station.
