Mysore/Mysuru: Sudhanva Dhananjaya, Chairman and Managing Director of Excelsoft Technologies Ltd., emphasised that today’s era of globalisation offers abundant employment opportunities for graduates.
He was speaking as the guest of honour at the afternoon session of 106th Annual Convocation of the University of Mysore, held at Crawford Hall on Monday.
Reflecting on the concerns families often express about the future of graduates, Dhananjaya noted that the present world provides far more opportunities than in the past.
“Compared to the time when I graduated, today’s graduates have a wider horizon of possibilities. They must pay attention to the global opportunities opening before them,” he said.
He urged students to make effective use of prospects across countries, industries, science and technology sectors, and research fields. Advising self-reflection, he noted that graduates should take the time to evaluate their career choices as they enter professional life.
Recalling his own academic journey, Dhananjaya shared that he had earned two degrees from the University of Mysore and fondly remembered receiving awards and medals during his student days.
The ceremony was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath. Registrar M.K. Savitha and Registrar (Evaluation) Dr. N. Nagaraj were also present on the dais.
