Mysuru: Three accused, who had allegedly stabbed to death a bar cashier near Gokulam Park in broad daylight on Oct. 3, have surrendered before the 6th Additional Civil Judge (ACJ) and JMFC Court on Oct. 5.
The three accused, who surrendered are Manish, Abhi and Rakshit, residents of Kesare in city. The deceased is Mahesh (40), a resident of Gayathripuram, who was working as a cashier at a bar on Hebbal Main Road.
On Oct. 3, at around 3.30 pm, the accused reportedly called Mahesh over the phone and asked him to come out of the bar for a talk.
When he came out, an argument broke out between Mahesh and the accused.
Mahesh later left the place in his vehicle towards Gokulam only to be followed by the accused who stopped his vehicle near Gokulam Park and allegedly stabbed him several times in front of people who had gathered at the spot. Mahesh died on the spot, while the assailants fled.
V.V. Puram Police had registered a case.
After the accused surrendered before the Court, the Judge remanded them to judicial custody.
V.V. Puram Police are preparing to take the accused into their custody for questioning to ascertain the reason for the murder and also to know whether any other persons were behind the crime.
