Gokulam residents seek conservation of play ground

Residents of Gokulam recently submitted a memorandum to MLA L. Nagendra urging him to save the spacious play ground in Gokulam third stage.

Strongly opposing MUDA’s move to construct Group Housing Project at this play ground, the residents said that the playground, having more than three-acre area, is ideally located near the MysoreOne Centre close to Doctors Corner at Gokulam and this playground should be retained at any cost.

Upon receiving the memorandum, MLA Nagendra assured of raising the issue at the next MUDA meeting, during which he will also persuade the officials not to take up any construction works on the playground.

Local Corporator SBM Manju was also present.

Earlier, the residents held a meeting at the playground to discuss the issue, during which it was resolved not to allow MUDA to execute its Group Housing Project at the site.

Former Corporators Girish Prasad and Suresh Babu, Dr. Bapat, Dr. Harindra, Dr. Narasimhan, Dr. Tarakram, Dinesh, Madhu and others were attended.
