Mysuru:  Burglars, who broke into a house at Prashantha Chaya Layout in Jantagalli, Varuna hobli, have decamped with cash and gold ornaments from the house. The burglary took place at the house of H. Chethan between Saturday night and Sunday evening.

Chethan, an employee of JK Tyre and his wife, an employee of a private hospital, locked their house on Saturday evening and left for their native place Kollegal. When they returned on Sunday night, they found the lock of the front door broken and the door open. On inspecting the house, they found the clothes scattered in the room. When they opened the wardrobe and the almirah, they found gold ornaments weighing 20 grams and Rs. 35,000 cash kept in it, stolen.

Based on the complaint from Chethan, Varuna Police, who have registered a case, collected footages of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity and have launched a hunt to nab the burglars.
