Gold, silver articles stolen from house

Mysuru: Gold ornaments and silver articles worth Rs. 7.85 lakh, which were kept in the almirah at the house, have been stolen according to a complaint lodged by a woman with Udayagiri Police.

According to the complaint, the woman, a resident of JSS Layout in city had gone to her sister’s house in Bengaluru along with her mother on Dec. 25 and had taken the gold ornaments with her. After returning on Dec. 30, she had kept the ornaments in the almirah. But her mother called her and informed that the gold chain and gold finger ring were missing following which she rushed to the house.

The complaint further states that on examining the almirah, she found the gold ornaments worth Rs. 7.50 lakh and silver articles worth Rs. 35,000 missing.

Udayagiri Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
