Mysuru: The second phase of the e-Khata Special Campaign organised by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) received a good response, with 741 property owners from three zones submitting applications for e-Khatas.
Property owners from MCC Zones 1, 2 and 3 participated in the campaign. A total of 808 applications were received between 10 am and 6.30 pm.
Of these, 741 were accepted after verification of documents, while the rest were rejected due to incomplete or inadequate documentation. The MCC has planned to distribute e-Khatas to eligible applicants on Nov. 18.
The special campaign will continue for two more days. Applications will be received on Nov. 6 from residents of Zones 4, 5 and 6 and on Nov. 7 from those in Zones 7, 8 and 9.
MCC Commissioner M.K. Savitha said, the special campaign was being conducted to assist the public under the guidance of District Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah and Regional Commissioner Nitesh Patil, who is also the MCC Administrator.
She said, the first phase had received an excellent response, prompting the MCC to extend the special drive across all nine zones, covering three zones at a time.
After the three-day campaign, e-Khatas will be distributed to all eligible applicants on Nov. 18 from 10 am onwards at the MCC Main Office, she added.
