Case registered at Nazarbad Police Station

Mysuru: Nazarbad Police have registered a criminal case against a man on charges of producing fake SSLC marks card and obtaining a Government job at the District Health and Family Welfare Department.

The person, who had produced fake marks card and obtained the Third Division Assistant job is Syed Mujeeb, a resident of Kalyangiri in city.

On June 6, 2006, Mujeeb joined the Health Department as a driver and on Feb. 3, 2012, Mujeeb had submitted the SSLC marks card and the passing marks card of the Accounts exam, conducted by Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) for Government employees  for promotion.

The documents submitted by Mujeeb to the District Health and Family Welfare Office in city were sent to the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services Office in Bengaluru. After the documents were accepted, Mujeeb began to work as the Second Division Assistant at the District Health Officer’s (DHO) Office in city from Jan. 17, 2020.

As Mujeeb could not write Kannada, the DHO sensing something fishy, sent the copies of the SSLC marks card to the SSLC Board on Apr. 19, 2021 for verification. A copy of the marks card of the Accounts exam conducted by KPSC was also sent for a check on Aug. 5, 2021 and its report stated that it was a fake one. On Apr. 5, 2022, the SSLC Board sent a letter stating that the marks card was fake.

In this backdrop, the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services on Oct. 10, 2022 dismissed Syed Mujeeb from the service and following direction from the Office of the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services, Assistant Administrative Officer at the DHO Office Jayaprakash lodged a complaint at Nazarbad Police Station.
