Mysuru: The eighth annual convocation of JSS University will be held on Nov. 22 at 11 am at Rajendra Auditorium located in JSS Medical College here.
Addressing press persons at Pathrakartara Bhavan here this morning, JSS Medical College Principal Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa said that Governor Vajubhai R. Vala would deliver the convocation address and also give away the awards and certificates.
Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, who is also the Chancellor of JSS University, will grace the occasion. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside.
A total of 1,274 students will receive their doctoral degrees, graduation and post-graduation certificates in various faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Management Studies, Life Sciences and Bio-Medical Sciences.
Forty students will share 56 medals and certificates. Also 22 Ph.Ds and five super-specialty degrees in DM and MCh will be awarded.
