Govindaraju Memorial Trophy: Mysore Muslims FC wins ‘B’ Division title

Mysore Muslims FC with 24 points (9 played, 8 win, 1 loss) clinched the Mysore District Football Association (MDFA) ‘B’ Division title 2019-20 for the Govindaraju Memorial Trophy at the conclusion of the ‘B’ Division League matches at the University Grounds here on Thursday. Dynamics FC with 22 points finished runner-up.

Both the teams have been promoted to the ‘A’ Division.

Pope FC and Kickers FC have been demoted to the ‘C’ Division.

The prizes to the winners were given away by Dr. C. Krishna, retired Director, Department of Physical Education (DPE), University of Mysore (UoM). T. Puttaraju, Vice-President, Karnataka.

State Football Association, Rasheed Ahmed, Chairman, MDFA, L. Manjunath, Hon. Secretary, MDFA, Anand, Treasurer, MDFA and Governing Board and Committee Members were present during the valedictory.

The MDFA, on the occasion, felicitated Mallikarjun, retired Police and Chairman of Referees Committee and Brijesh Singh, Coach and Secretary of Referees Association, for the services rendered by them to the game.
