Govt. appealed to reclaim grabbed lake land at Nachanahallipalya

December 7, 2024

Mysuru: S. Manjunath (Mahesh), a resident of Nachanahallipalya, has alleged that lake lands coming under different survey numbers of Kasaba Hobli, are being sold by some parties after creating fake documents and records.

Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Manjunath said that lands coming under Nachanahallipalya Survey Nos. 38 and 93 and Dattagalli village Survey Nos. 82, 52 and 61 originally belonged to Nachanahallipalya Lake. But, Govindaswamy of Nachanahallipalya and his son Raghavendra have illegally formed sites on these lands and are selling it for monetary gains. Though a complaint has been filed with the authorities concerned, no action has been taken as yet against them, he alleged.

Pointing out that the two have created fake documents in the name of Shervegar Lakshmi Bovi and claiming that the properties belonged to their ancestors, he said the duo sold sites with support of MUDA and MCC officials.

Besides, the father-son have claimed to have lodged a case against the Government and later reached a compromise, which is all but a drama. This apart, the duo falsely claimed that the property was donated to them by Mysore Maharajas. But the fact is that the lands in question are part of the Lake, Mahesh said adding that he has lodged a complaint with Lokayukta and Dy. Commissioner seeking action against the creators of fake documents. He also appealed the Government to reclaim the grabbed lake land.

Nachanahallipalya residents G.M. Mahadeva and M.Mahadeva were present at press meet.
