Bengaluru: The State Government is mulling issuing necessary guidelines for simple celebrations of festivals in the coming days in the wake of possible third wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
Time and again the health experts are warning the Government to take necessary precautions to check the spreading of contagion such as avoiding crowding of people in public places. A similar warning has been issued for the coming festivals like Varamahalakshmi, Gowri-Ganesh and Sri Krishna Janmashtami to avoid what happened during the second wave.
Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Director, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bengaluru, who is also a Member of Karnataka State COVID Technical Advisory Committee, has warned that the festivals will become super-spreaders in case the Government allows crowding of people during the celebrations.
