Mysuru, Oct. 21 (BCT)- A shocking incident has come to light in Mysuru city, where the back door of a Government-seized house was found broken and its contents scattered.
The property, located at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar, had been sealed several years ago as part of the State Government’s seizure of assets belonging to Green Buds Agro Farm Private Limited.
Officials discovered the break-in when they visited the site recently to relocate the seized assets. It is suspected that unidentified persons may have entered the premises in search of documents or valuables.
Acting on instructions to inspect and list the assets before relocation, a team comprising Tahsildar Shireen Taj, Special Officer and Competent Legal Officer M.N. Rakshith, Revenue Inspector B. Hemanth Kumar, and Village Accountants Azeem Khan and Girish visited the property on Oct. 18, accompanied by a videographer.
Upon arrival, the team was unable to open the lock on the main sealed gate. They then entered the house through an unsealed side gate and found the back door broken. Inside, the house was ransacked, with articles scattered across the rooms.
Preliminary findings suggest that unidentified miscreants forcibly entered the property with malicious intent, breaking both the back and inner doors.
Following the discovery, Revenue Inspector Hemanth Kumar filed a complaint at Alanahalli Police Station, urging action to identify and prosecute those responsible for trespassing on Government property.
A case has been registered, and Police have launched an investigation to determine who broke in, what items or documents may have been stolen, and the motive behind the intrusion.
Notably, no security arrangements had been made for the sealed property — a lapse on the part of the officials.
