Gowramma (87), a resident of Maragodanahalli village in the taluk, passed away on Sunday night at the village.
She leaves behind two sons including journalist Mahadev, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at the family’s farm land in the village yesterday, according to family sources.
