Mysore/Mysuru: GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, had organised Graduation Day Ceremony for the 2023 passed out B.E students, on Nov. 4 at its M. Govinda Rao Memorial Hall here.
Shashidhar Dongre, Global Head, Process and Quality, L&T Technology Services, Mysuru, was the chief guest.
Shilpa Balagopalan, Technology Leader, Lululemon, Leadership Coach and Motivational Speaker, Bengaluru, was the guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, Shashidhar Dongre spoke about the moral values to be adopted by the students, acknowledging the support rendered by the teachers, parents and other well-wishers who have helped them in attaining the degree and to reach their goals.
He advised the young minds not to underestimate their potential instead of believing in themselves to become successful in future endeavours. As India has got the youth power to transform the globe, he insisted the young engineers be part of the transformation by being passionate and making their dreams come true. He also appreciated the contribution of the women fraternity being with supreme power.
Shilpa Balagopalan emphasised that students need to be committed to professionals with ethics and social responsibility. She advised them to cultivate positive thinking, high level of integrity and humanity to be successful in their career.
She mentioned that as technology has transformed our lives we should give equal importance to both professional and personal growth. She also appreciated the core objective of GSSSIETW in providing value-based quality education to women.
The degree certificates were distributed to 376 B.E students by the dignitaries. The oath was administered to the passed out students by Dr. K.S. Gururaj, Professor and Head, Department of ISE.
Vanaja B. Pandit, Hon. Secretary, GSSS, Mysuru, presided. Dr. Rajendra R. Patil, Professor and Head, Department of ECE, GSSSIETW, welcomed. Dr. P. Raviraj, Professor and Head, Department of CSE, GSSSIETW, introduced the chief guest. Dr. Roopashree, Professor and Head, Department of CSE, introduced the guest of honour. Dr. Sreeramulu Mahesh, Professor and Head, Department of EEE, proposed the vote of thanks.
O. Pratap Kumar, Joint Secretary, GSSS, B.K. Nataraj, Management Committee Member, GSSS, Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW and Heads of various Departments were present during the Graduation Day Ceremony.
The event was coordinated by alumnae coordinators of the Institute J. Usharani, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE and R.N. Nagashree, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE.
