Gram Panchayat employees seek a better deal

Mysuru: Members of Karnataka State Gram Panchayat Employees Association, under the aegis of Centre for Indian Trade Union (CITU), staged a protest in front of Zilla Panchayat office here on Friday urging the Government of fulfil their various pending demands.

The employees demanded direct payment of salaries by the Government, regularisation of all workers, promotion of bill collectors to the posts of Account Assistants and minimum salary for all employees.

Earlier to that, the members took out a procession from Gun House Circle to ZP office.

Association District President K. Basavaraj, Vice-President Siddaraju, Treasurer Lokesh and others were present.
