Mysore/Mysuru: As part of its online concert series, Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru, will be presenting a flute concert by versatile flutist Vid. L.V. Mukund at 5 pm on Saturday (Nov.21). The online concert will be premiered on its YouTube channel.

L.V. Mukund hails from the Belakawadi family, which has contributed many music stalwarts to Karnatak music. He was initially trained by his mother, Radha Vijayaraghavan and thereafter by Prapancham Balachandran. As part of his higher training he came under the tutelage of flute maestro, Sangeetha Kalanidhi, Padmashri N. Ramani, and is one of the torch-bearers of Ramani’s school. He is one of the much sought after young flutist today and has been bestowed with several awards and honours.
He will be accompanied by a team of illustrious artistes, Vidu. Charulatha Ramanujam on violin, Vid. H. S. Sudheendra on mridanga and Vid. U. Giridhara Udupa on ghata. All the accompanying artistes are much acclaimed musicians and have accompanied most of the music heavy-weights. They have performed in almost all reputed platforms in India and abroad and have been credited with several awards and accolades.
