Mysuru: The tri-monthly programme of Surabhi Ganakala Mandira Charitable Trust this time will be a Grand Karnatak Classical Vocal concert by Vidwan Vivek Sadashivam of Bengaluru at 6 pm on Saturday (Sept. 21) at Bidaram Krishnappa Sri Prasanna Sitharama Mandira on Narayana Shastri Road. He will be accompanied on violin by Vid. Vaibhav Ramani, on mridanga by Vid. B.S. Prashanth and on ghatam by Vid. S. Manjunath.
Profile: Vid.Vivek Sadashivam had his initial vocal training since the age of 5 from his grandfather A. Anantharaman Iyer and aunt Champakavalli of Calcutta and his father, who belong to the direct Shishya Parampara of Sri Muthuswamy Dikshitar. Now he is under the tutelage of Vid. R.N.Thyagarajan, Vid. Sanjay Subrahmanyam and Vid. Dr. L. Subramaniam.
Vivek, an ‘A’ graded artiste of AIR, is the prize winner of AIR National- level competition in 2009 and the recipient of the title ‘Nada Kishora’ from Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha in 2011.
