Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Vishnu Sena Samiti, Mysuru, will celebrate the 75th birth anniversary of late actor Sahasa Simha Dr. Vishnuvardhan in a grand manner in the year 2025.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Wednesday, the Samiti State President Veerakaputra Srinivas said that the 75th birth anniversary of Dr. Vishnuvardhan falls on Sept.18, 2025 and the event will be celebrated in a purposeful manner. Pointing out that preparations have already started for the grand celebration, he said it has been proposed to establish a competitive exams training academy for poor students. It has also been decided to plant 10 lakh saplings across the State by 2025 and to bring out a booklet on the feat of the late actor.
He further said that the Government will be urged to name a road, Bhavan or a scheme after Vishnuvardhan in every district and also to install the statue of Dr. Vishnuvardhan at the park named after him in Mysuru. Those interested in taking part in the preparations can contact Mob:98448-35554.
Regretting that the Government had failed in conferring Padma Shri award on Dr. Vishnuvardhan, he said that the Samiti is going ahead with its plans without relying on the Govt. for assistance. Samiti office-bearers Lohitgowda and Shivakumar were present at the press meet.
