Grandma Home & Hunger-Free World Project: Malabar Group CSR initiatives launch at Bengaluru on Sept. 26

Bengaluru: Malabar Charitable Trust, in association with Daya Rehabilitation Trust, will be inaugurating its two significant social service initiatives in Karnataka — ‘Grandma Home’ and ‘Hunger-Free World’ at Hosakerehalli, Banashankari 3rd Stage, Bengaluru, on Sept. 26 at 11.30 am.

By providing shelter, food, clothing and medical assistance, the ‘Grandma Home’ initiative sets up a safe haven for elderly women in Bengaluru. ‘Hunger-Free World’ campaign, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal to (Zero Hunger), aims to distribute packed daily meals to those in need and contribute to global fight against hunger and poverty. Apart from these, Malabar Group will be announcing scholarships to academically brilliant female students, on the occasion.

‘Grandma Home’ will be inaugurated by Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Minister of Department of                 Women and Child Development, Disabled and Senior-Citizens Empowerment. ‘Hunger-Free World’ Project will be launched by N.A. Haris, MLA.

Asher Ottamoochikkal, Managing Director, India Operations, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, will deliver welcome speech. M.P. Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Group, will deliver presidential speech.
