Green Buds cheating case: Depositors, activists submit memorandum to DC

Mysuru: Urging the District Administration to confiscate the properties of Green Buds Agro Farm Limited and return the money got through public auction to the depositors, the depositors and activists under the banner of Green Buds Karyakartharu Hagu Tevanidarara Rakshana Samithi, yesterday submitted a memorandum to the District Administration.

Before submitting the memorandum, a meeting was held at the park opposite the DC’s office and later the memorandum was submitted to Mysuru Assistant Commissioner Shivegowda.

The depositors, who said that the State Government has issued a gazette notification to confiscate the properties of Green Buds Agro Farm Limited, auction the same and return the money to the depositors, demanded the District Administration to conduct the procedures soon.

They also said that about 16 women depositors had committed suicides as the company failed to return their money and added that the poor, innocents and farmers who had deposited their hard earned money and are cheated.

State Sugarcane Growers’ Association President Kurubur Shanthakumar, SamithiPresident G.V. Lakshmidevi and depositors were present.
