Mysore/Mysuru: Members of Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagruta Vedike and Bharatiya Dalita Sahitya Academy distributed green grass and horse gram to tonga owners in city yesterday.
Vedike members visited tonga stands located in Agrahara Circle and Kukkarahalli Lake yesterday morning and distributed horse feed to tonga owners.
Speaking to reporters, Vedike State President K.S. Shivaram said, “We will distribute green grass and horse gram to these poor animals thrice a week. Tonga owners are out of business from the last two weeks due to COVID Curfew. Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) should come to the rescue of these poor people. I would request MCC Commissioner to help the tonga owners feed their animals.
Vedike State President K.S. Shivaram, leaders M. Lokeshkumar, Rohit of Manjula Sounds, R.K. Ravi and Vinod Raj were present.
