Grievances pour in at DC’s phone-in

Mysuru: Grievances poured in at the Deputy Commissioner’s phone-in programme held at his office this morning. In all, 22 callers from the district and city aired their problems. DC D. Randeep holding the programme for the first time asked officials to come out with remedial measures for grievances within three weeks.

Mahesh of Bannur alleged that roads were in a bad condition and water pipelines were damaged. Randeep assured to do the needful.

Lokesh of Nanjangud complained of irregular water supply in town. The DC asked officials to look into the matter.

Prabhakar of T. Narasipur mentioned about poor facilities at Tripura Sundaramma temple. Randeep replied that the government had sanctioned Rs. 30 lakh for renovation works which would be done soon.

Kashi of Hullahalli in Nanjangud taluk alleged that the newly laid concrete road was of poor quality and the work too was going on at a snail’s pace. Randeep asked the officials to expedite the work and inspect the quality first.

Mamatha of Vijayanagar 4th Stage complained of no proper streetlights in the area. Randeep said that Rs. 14 lakh has been allocated by MUDA and the work would be taken up soon.

Additional DC T. Yogesh, SP Ravi D. Channannavar, Additional SP Rudramuni, Assistant Commissioner Shivegowda, ZP CEO Shivashankar, DCP Vikram Amathe, DHO Dr. Basavaraj, MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesh, MUDA Commissioner Kantharaj and others were present.
