‘Gruha Jyothi’ data collection drive to go on till Aug. 31

Putting to rest the propaganda in some social media networks that July 31 was the last date for data collection from beneficiaries of  the State Government’s ‘Gruha Jyothi’ scheme, the CESC has said that data collection drive will go on till Aug. 31. In a press release, CESC said that ‘Gruha Jyothi’ beneficiaries can submit the sought data without any tension or concern by Aug. 31.

Pointing out that CESC Meter Readers and other assigned staff will visit households for data collection, the release said that the beneficiaries need not pay any money for this.

The beneficiaries are required to keep the following documents ready when the Meter Reader visits their homes.

Aadhaar card, passport size photograph of beneficiary, Voter ID card, PAN card (if applicable) Rent Agreement that is currently in force (if applicable) and Ration card (if applicable).
