GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women to host B.S. Pandit Memorial Concert ‘Saraswati’

Mysore/Mysuru: Geetha Shishu Shikshana Sangha (GSSS), Mysuru, founded by late Prof. B.S. Pandit — a visionary in the field of education — has organised B.S. Pandit Memorial Concert ‘Saraswati’ on Nov. 6 and 7 at M. Govinda Rao Memorial Auditorium, GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW),  on KRS Road in city.

On Nov. 6 at 10.30 am, renowned Hindustani classical vocalist Padma Shri and Karnataka State Sangeetha Vidwan awardee Pt. M. Venkatesh Kumar will present a Hindustani vocal performance.

He will be accompanied by Keshav Joshi on tabla and Vid. Dr. Ravindra Katoti on harmonium.

On Nov. 7, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm, Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar awardee, Natyavisharada Jaikishore Mosalikanti and Padmavani Mosalikanti will present a Kuchipudi dance.

They will be accompanied by Aadith Narayan on natuvanga, Janani Hamsini Narasimhan on vocal, Dr. G.V. Guru Bharadwaaj on mridanga,  Aditya on violin and R.S. Adhvaith on flute.

Bus facilities

Bus facilities are available to the venue from different parts of city and the bus routes are as follows: 1. Sri  Krishnadhama, T.K. Layout; 2. Ganabharathi, Kuvempunagar; 3. Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road; 4.  Javaregowda Park, Saraswathipuram; 5.  Auto Stand, Ramaswamy Circle; 6.  Vontikoppal, near Venkateshwaraswamy Temple; 7. GSSS School, Siddarthanagar; 8. V.V. Mohalla 8th Cross.

Pick up on Nov. 6 is at 9 am and drop approximately at 1 pm.  Pick up on Nov. 7 is at 4.30 pm and drop approximately at 9 pm.
