Guest Lecturer lodges complaint against students for disrupting classes

Mysore/Mysuru: A lady Guest Lecturer of University of Mysore (UoM) has lodged a complaint with the Police accusing some students of disrupting her classes.

In a complaint lodged with the Jayalakshmipuram Police, the lady guest lecturer of the Department of Studies in Political Science, Manasagangothri, said that a group of five students barged into the classroom when her classes were underway on Mar. 9 and 10 and disrupted her lecture.

She further alleged that  these students had the support of a few research students and backing of a Department staff.

Reacting to the issue, UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar said he had no knowledge about the Police complaint against the students  and that the Guest faculty should have brought the matter to the notice of the University authorities before going to the Police.

The VC further said, that said students have actually complained about the Guest lecturer and the Registrar has filed a report in this regard, he clarified.
