Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy said that regularisation of Guest Lecturers serving at Govt. First Grade Colleges across the State was not possible. Replying to a question by BJP MLA C.T. Ravi during the Question Hour in the State Assembly yesterday, Rayareddy said that there were 13,489 Guest Lecturers serving in the State. Lecturers having Post-Graduation qualification will be paid Rs. 9,500 while Ph.D holders, NET or SLET qualified Lecturers will be paid Rs. 11,500 in the current academic year, he said and reiterated that their services cannot be regularised.
Bus services to MM Hills
Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy told the Assembly that the KSRTC would introduce more bus services to MM Hills for the benefit of devotees. Replying to a question by R. Narendra of the Congress, he said that the KSRTC is already running services to MM Hills from Bengaluru, Mysuru, Kollegal, Chamarajanagar and other places. Also, more bus services to the Hill shrine will be introduced shortly, he said and added that there were plans to open a bus depot at MM Hills.
Land for Infosys
Industries Minister R.V. Deshpande, replying to a question raised by G.T. Devegowda, said that IT major Infosys has been allotted 337 acres of land at Hebbal Industrial Area in Mysuru.
