In the wake of complaint by the BJP to the Election Commission, Gundlupet PSI B.N. Sandeep Kumar, has been transferred.
The BJP had accused the PSI of unnecessarily resorting to lathi-charge during the procession taken out by it for the filing of nomination of the party candidate for Gundlupet by-poll on Mar.20.
Sandeep Kumar had served different Police Stations in Chamarajanagar district for over six years. But Sandeep Kumar earned the wrath of BJP for the Mar.20 lathi-charge and following the BJP’s complaint, the Election Commission ordered his transfer.
Sandeep has now been posted to Varuna Police Station in Varuna Constituency represented by CM Siddharamaiah.
