Mysuru: Guru Purnima and Chaturmasya Vrata Deeksha programmes by Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji, Junior Pontiff of Avadhoota Datta Peetha, have been organised at Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama, Datta Nagar, Ooty Road, Mysuru, from July 16 (Tuesday) to Sept.14 (Saturday).
On July 16, as part of Guru Purnima, Pavamana Homa and Adi Guru Datta Homa begins at 6 am. Chaturmasya Vrata Deeksha by Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji, Chaitanyarchana, Guru Parampara Puja, Vyasa Puja and benedictions at 9 am.
In the evening, Sri Chakra Puja, Chorus chanting of Sri Guru Gita by devotees, felicitation to “Vidya Vachaspati”, “Vidwan” Sri Aralumallige Parthasarthy with the title “Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Prashasti”, Donation of Harmonium, Tabla and other musical instruments to two temples in Pourakarmika Colonies in Mysuru at 6 pm followed by Kakada Aarti to Lord Dattatreya at 8 pm.
Discourse from July 17 to Sept. 13
As part of Chaturmasya Vrata Deeksha from July 17 to Sept. 13, discourse on Yoga Vashishta will be delivered by Sri Swamiji at 7.30 am daily, Sri Chakra Puja, Veda chanting, Maha Ganapathy Homa, at 8.30 am and in the evening Satsang, Discourse etc., at 6.30 pm, Kakada Aarti to Lord Dattatreya at 8 pm.
On Sept. 14 (Saturday), conclusion of Chaturmasya Vrata Deeksha, Pavamana Homa begins at 7 am, followed by Vishwa Vijaya Yatra and Seemollanghana.
