H.M. Swamy (86), a resident of Hirikati village in Gundlupet taluk of Chamarajanagar, passed away yesterday in the village.
He leaves behind two sons including Chamarajanagar District BJP Vice-President Hirikati Somashekar, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at the village this afternoon, according to family sources.
