H.M. Varadachar (89), a retired Tahsildar and a resident of Mandi Mohalla, passed away yesterday at his residence.

He leaves behind one son, five daughters, grand children and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to family sources.
