H.R. Venkatesh (87), former Councillor and a resident of Kollapuradamma Street, passed away yesterday in the town.
He leaves behind his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at the crematorium, adjacent to the Taluk Office this afternoon.
